“Just as a woman’s heart knows how and when to pump, her lungs to inhale and her hand to pull back from the fire, so she knows when and how to give birth."
— Virginia Di Orio
Are you scared or anxious about birth?
Have you heard all the horror stories and seen the movies portraying birth as traumatic and dramatic, with lots of screaming and yelling, which has left you feeling nervous about the ‘pain’ women go through in labour?
Are you wanting to learn some techniques and have some tools up our sleeve which can support you to be as comfortable and calm as possible?
Are you worried about medical interventions and would prefer to have a ‘hands off’ approach? Maybe you are hoping for a physiological birth with none or as little intervention as possible but don't know how you're going to achieve this.
Are you and your partner wanting him/her to feel more included during pregnancy and labour, rather than feeling hopeless and an ‘onlooker’?
Maybe you have already had a previous birthing experience and are looking for more knowledge and tools for your next birthing experience.
Maybe you would just like to feel a little more prepared to ease the overwhelm of the unknown and the uncontrollable.
Are you ready to stop fearing labour?
Are you ready to find out what the process of birth ACTUALLY is? From a trusted source rather than from all those horror stories you are hearing or from what google has told you could happen…
Are you ready to REMEMBER that you already have EVERYTHING you need to birth your baby?
Are you and your partner ready to feel empowered in your birthing choices and feel confident conveying them to your care provider?
HypnoBirthing is for YOU if you answered YES to these questions!
HypnoBirthing is a complete Childbirth Education Program.
What is included? What will you learn?
The Mind-Body Connection – how birth is not just about the physical. Our minds play such an important role - ‘for whatever the body feels it is first conceived in the mind.’
Pregnancy, Labour and Birth Hormones - how a woman’s body already has all she needs to birth her baby, sometimes we just need to know how to tap into it.
The beautiful birthing muscles – what they are, what they are doing during labour and how to work with them instead of against them.
What to expect during the last few weeks of your pregnancy, labour and after birth (this includes the stages of labour.)
Your baby’s role in birth - they to have an important part to play and knowing natures design for birth allows you to follow your instincts and surrender knowing all is OKAY!
Special circumstances (AKA complications.)
Medical interventions - how to navigate around them being used unnecessarily and how to advocate for yourself.
Birth preferences.
Partner support plan - your partner is your #1 supporter and advocate (and I am dead set on making sure he/she feels that way!)

Learn about the three golden hours after birth,
The Fourth Trimester - bonding with your baby and breastfeeding,

The program consists of 5 classes, 1 class a week for 2 ½ hours.
Outside of class time, you will continue your birthing practice at home. Mums find that they start including daily birthing practice into their lives easily and effortlessly knowing that every little bit of practice helps condition their minds and body for birthing. For example, this may mean listening to the relaxation tracks before going to sleep each night.
-
Most mothers complete the program anywhere between 20 and 34 weeks of pregnancy. There is no wrong or right time to start, it simply comes down to personal preference. The earlier you get started, the more time you have to practice the techniques, or if you’re a little later in your pregnancy the information will be fresh in your mind as you get closer to your birthing day.

Mothers and birth partners who want to walk out of their birthing experience feeling empowered and joyful no matter what type of birth they had. Mothers who want to feel confident, calm, comfortable and well-informed, using proven techniques and tools to prepare for a positive birth experience - THEN THIS IS THE PROGRAM FOR YOU. Whether it is your first or third baby, you’re planning a VBAC, even a cesarean section, or carrying multiples HypnoBirthing can prepare you!

Hell Yes! HypnoBirthing is not just about the birthing mother; it is also for partners. They play such an important role throughout the birthing experience and can often feel helpless and scared or be left feeling like they were an onlooker instead of the most important person in the room for you. HypnoBirthing values their role and allows them to step into it, as your calming influence, advocate, and #1 support - guiding you through the ups and downs using proven techniques that you have practiced together.
If your partner can’t attend, that’s okay! You are welcome to bring along another support person who you feel will support you in the way you wish to be – this might be your mum, sister, or friend!

HypnoBirthing promotes instinctual birth! Every mumma has her own birthing instincts, they are raring to go, but can unfortunately get overpowered by the over-medicalised birthing world.
We won’t add to any worries, fears or negative beliefs that you may already have about labour/birth. In fact, HypnoBirthing will do the opposite, allowing you to release those. HypnoBirthing works with the mind-body connection, respecting that the two are intertwined and for what the body feels it is driven by the mind.
Yes, we will go through the ‘medical’ side of labour like hospital classes (eg. stages of labour, medical interventions, etc) But as a HypnoBirthing Educator I am trained in physiological birth and hypnosis techniques from the Mongan Method. This program includes proven techniques used by mothers worldwide for many, many years to eliminate anxiety, stress and fear, helping mothers to listen to their instincts through self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques to stay relaxed and calm.

If you change your mind and decide not to do the course anymore, I ask you to please give as much notice as possible so your spot can be given to another birthing family. You will be refunded if you give notice up to 14 days before class commences (minus your non-refundable deposit of $120.)
